Q & A : Do you now consider yourself to be straight (heterosexual) ???
ReplyDeleteWell, first allow me to say that the first year or so I never really gave this much thought. I just assumed, I guess, that if I am not homosexual that I must be a heterosexual, however I have given it A LOT of thought lately and have come to some different conclusions. It seems to me that if I could meet a woman, fall in love, get married and live happily ever after then I certainly would not deny myself that gift. However after living as homosexual for so many years (25+) and now being FREE from that sin, I would say that the opposite of being homosexual is NOT heterosexual, but the opposite of being homosexual is being a Christian. I know, as the Spirit lead & guides me daily, that I am not a homosexual, and I know this because Christ has rescued & freed me from that disgusting sin. I also know that the "tendencies" or "urges" have eased up tremendously since I first stepped out of that sin, and it gets much easier day by day. So, to answer your question, I am not sure if I am heterosexual, but I can assure you that I am not homosexual. I have no desire or yearn to be sexual at all, only to be Christian and share the joy of His Truth with any and everyone.
May you all be blessed. In His Love, David Arthur
Q & A : What exactly was it that made you believe that you were not born a homosexual and why?
ReplyDeleteWell, when I was living in that sin I would have argued that I WAS born that way, that God, Himself, made me that way. However, once I accepted that homosexuality is an addiction and I actually began a relationship with Christ, the Truth certainly did set me free. It is a touchy subject because we are ALL born into sin, and what greater sin to be born into than homosexuality, an abominable, dispised act. So, the answer is BORDERLINE about being BORN INTO THAT SIN, however, NOBODY IS MADE THAT WAY. WE ARE NOT CREATED THAT WAY. Nobody is CREATED to be a homosexual, there is nothing natural about it. Being born into sin, shaped in iniquity, tempted and then tortured by life has been an experience that I believe is to be a "training" of sorts, so that I can do my part in getting The Truth, The Word, The Gospel out into the world.
Q & A : What would you say to those that swear on their very lives that God made them this way because they felt attracted to the same sex at a very early age?
ReplyDeleteAgain I say, we are BORN INTO SIN and SHAPED IN INIQUITY. Once one accepts homosexuality as an addiction then it is much easier to understand the sin in it, just like having a perverted fetish or a crack cocaine addiction, it is mental and physical addiction. But when you hear about having the same sex attraction since a very early age, I say that they were BORN INTO SIN, SHAPED IN INIQUITY & their "attractions" are simple & true URGES which = TEMPTATION. I had those "urges" & "attractions" at a very young age and lived that sin until I was 37 years old before I could accept & understand....I pray not everyone waits so long because the regret of the life missed is a heavy burden to carry. ♥
